Savory Fig Pizza

okay so i was really hungry for a dessert this one day, but i didnt want something ridiculously sweet, and went to look in my fridge. saw some food, tossed it together, and damn, it tasted great. its sweet, tangy, crunchy, cripsy, chewy, savory all in one damn little pizza. it can easily be doubled, and put on as much as anything you want. its super-de-dooper versatile and is great as an after school snack, or as an elegant dessert.

what you need:

  • 1 bag of pizza dough
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 dried figs
  • 8 thin slices of barlett or red pear
  • fresh goat cheese

preheat your oven to 350° and take your pizza dough and split it into 8 equal sized balls. roll it out into little rounds. about ehhh id say…. 6″ in diameter… ish… and then stick them on your baking sheet. then take your onions, and sautee them to a deep brown. and split it among your little dough rounds. and go a head and eat some onions if you really get tempted…. then take your dried fig, give it a little smush, chop it up, and arrange it on your little onion bed. stick on your slice of pear, and top off with your cheese, and stick it in your oven for however long it says on your pizza dough package. damn its good XD
