Sugar, Spiced, and Everything Nice’d Pecans

IT’S GOING TO BE FALL SOOOOOON!!! MY FAVORITE SEASON FOR FOOOOOOD 😀 only because every fall-related food has cinnamon, and everyone knows how much i love me some cinnamon XD yes, fall starts next week and dude i am so excited 😀 marching season starts, and even though im out of high school, and no longer in band….i’m still in my hometown, so i still visit my high school…..mostly to pick up siblings, buuuuuut yeah i can’t help but go into the band room and saying hi to friends…..i have severe attachment issues to that XD yeah, i dont have much to say this time…… ummm so yeah…onto the actual food now?

 what you need:

1/2 c granulated sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 egg white or 2 tbs water with 1 tbs oil
1 tbs water
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 c pecan halves

heat your oven to 300° and lay a sheet of aluminum foil onto a baking sheet. then grease it lightly with oil or butter

whisk together the sugar, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg together, then forget about it for a minute.

mix together the water, egg white, and vanilla extract for a minute or until the white is broken up, and everything is foamy. Toss in the pecans and stir together until everything is coated. use a slotted spoon to pull the pecans out and drain off the excess whites. then stir the pecans in the sugar mix until it’s coated….just be careful not to over mix, otherwise the sugar and egg white will start to flake off the pecans.

stick the pecans in a single layer on the foil-lined baking sheet and then bake for 15 minutes, turn and mix the pecans, then bake for another 15 minutes. once its done, then let it cool and if needed, then break apart any clumps, and tadaaa you have spiced pecans. Enjoy! 😀
